Last "counting" Wet Wednesday

Well last Wednesday was our club's last 'counting' wet wednesday for the third part of the series.

We had an interesting race in that we ended up with Katana's sheets wrapped on our keel.

It slowed us down for about half a leg until we figured out what was going on. We still won! Beat Taxi Dancer by 30 seconds. But, we didn't win the series. Oh well! Here are the results and the overall for the fall series: wet wednesday races

Now we are thinking about the Campbell Cup...and if there's a weigh in!

Go Skian Dhu!

Charity Regatta

What a day! Despite the wind only blowing 2-5 today we were able to take first against the Doc and Taxi Dancer. It was all in good fun though with the priority being a fundraiser for Visiting Nurse and Hospice as well as an opportunity to honor our military, especially the Marines from the 3/5 Dark Horse.

Our celebrity crew, Police Officer Mike, enjoyed his time aboard Skian Dhu and even grabbed the helm at the end of the race.
Thanks, Dirk!
Go Skian Dhu!
